A man can do worse than have a great group of liked-minded friends around him. Triple H certainly knows the benefit of building connections with a loyal group, as evident by his membership of the infamous Kliq in the WWF backstage scene of the 1990s. Although the Game's finely-honed technical skills and fantastic grasp of wrestling psychology certainly formed a major part of the reason for his rise through the company's ranks, his membership of the Kliq unquestionably granted him a level of influence beyond that of the average midcarder. Unfortunately in life it's not a case of "what you know", it's "who you know". Triple H recognised the benefit of the latter, while backing it up with a healthy dose of the former. The heights he would go on to scale can be attributed to this early sense of political know-how, and the ability of he and his crew to establish themselves in a position of power.
