10 Live Observations From Attending The Raw After WrestleMania 32

After WrestleMania, I predicted that Zack Ryder would only last 24 hours as Intercontinental Champion. As much as I wanted to be wrong, his "I could retire now" promo and rumours that Owens was originally scheduled to go over made me doubt that he was a long-term champ.

Ryder did indeed lose the title on Raw, but I couldn't have guessed that he'd fall to The Miz. Miz interrupted Ryder, insulted his father (who was ringside), and challenged "Long Island Iced Z" to an impromptu match. During the bout, former Divas' Champion - and Miz's current wife - Maryse returned and slapped Ryder's father. That distraction let Miz hit the Skull-Crushing Finale and claim his fifth Intercontinental Title.

I truly don't know what the purpose of putting the belt back on The Miz was. We've all seen him as a heel Intercontinental Champion, and even with Maryse by his side, there's not much new stuff that's going to be brought to the table.

At WrestleMania, Ryder and The Rock were the only fan favourites to go over, and Ryder's win was immediately undone the next night.

Even worse, the company announced that Ryder's rematch will be on this week's Smackdown. By next Monday, Ryder will be right back where he was a month ago.
