As a first match on the show, The New Day challenging for The Revival's SmackDown Tag Team Championships was a great choice for an opener. If looking at the best tag teams in the world right now, both tandems are in the discussion, for sure.

While the overall reaction for New Day's win was certainly a loud one, the win was also followed by plentiful grumblings and annoyed comments about Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson dropping the belts.

From being in attendance, it seemed like the W was being celebrated, unsurprisingly, by the younger crowd members, while the more older, bitter sorts amongst the audience (including yours truly) were going hard on how The Revival are the best team in the industry right now, and then bitching about how The Revival vs. The Viking Raiders vs. Undisputed Era was a far better match for Survivor Series than pulling out Dash and Dawson for Big E and Kofi.

The match itself was a great, frenetic opener for SmackDown, yet the end result definitely split the Manchester audience. Luckily for those unhappy at New Day's win, there was something a little more pleasing just around the corner...
