The first bout of the night was a fatal four-way tag team match, in which Kofi Kingston and Big E of the New Day defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Breezango, the Hype Bros, and the Usos.

It was a fun, high-energy match that did its job of getting the crowd warmed up, as each team proved that while the SmackDown Live tag team division isn't terribly deep, it's still rich with talent. Despite the crowded ring, each wrestler involved was able to get some great spots in, most notably Tyler Breeze successfully hitting Big E with a vertical suplex to a huge pop

All four teams put on championship-worthy performances, but at the end of the day, it was still a house show and ended exactly how you think it did: with the New Day successfully retaining their belts and celebrating accordingly.
