10 Longest Gaps Between World Title Reigns In WWE History
3. Kane - 12 Years 0 Months 21 Days
It's hard to believe that Glenn Jacobs has only been a world champion twice in WWE.
Not taking into account the ECW Championship, Kane's world title wins came at King of the Ring 1998 and Money in the Bank 2010. His first reign with the gold was over almost as soon as it began. He lost the title the very next night on Raw and would be without a world championship for over a decade. Almost exactly twelve years after his one and only WWF Championship run, Kane captured the Money in the Bank briefcase at the first ever titular Pay-Per-View.
Clearly eager to get his hands on the belt after so long, Kane waited under an hour to cash in. After Rey Mysterio successfully defended his world title against Jack Swagger, Kane's iconic pyro hit and The Big Red Machine made his way down to the ring. 54 seconds later, he was champion.
Kane was never really the man in The Attitude Era, always playing second fiddle to Austin, Rock, and Undertaker. So it was great that he finally got a lengthy run at the top of the card, even if devoted Kanenites did have to wait over a decade to see it.
