Billy Gunn, he of the bottom-preoccupation, spent over eleven years as an active wrestler with the WWF/E, but somehow only managed four WrestleMania matches. The last of those was a successful Tag Team Title defence with special friend Chuck at WrestleMania X8 in 2002. Twelve years later he would reappear for a nostalgic run that ended against The Shield at WrestleMania XXX, in tandem with Attitude Era alumni the Road Dogg and Kane.

Only Marty Jannetty can rival Goldust for the number of times WWE has rehired someone. Yet despite numerous runs with the company, following his no-contest with Maven at WrestleMania X8 it took another twelve years for Goldust to appear on a 'Mania card. In 2014, 'The Bizarre One' was one of the participants in the first Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The Bushwhackers seemed to be around for decades. Which makes it surprising that their only 'Mania appearance during their run with the company was a win against the Fabulous Rougeaus at WrestleMania V. They wouldn't lick any unsuspecting children on the biggest show of the year again for twelve years, when the pair would both be made short work of in the Gimmick Battle Royal.
