Despite being in Hulk Hogan's corner for the first WrestleMania main event, 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka wouldn't wrestle a 'Mania match until WrestleMania VI, where he was quickly dealt with by 'Ravishing' Rick Rude. Snuka had made one of the oddest returns in WrestleMania history the year before, walking out to salute the crowd before the Ron Garvin vs. Dino Bravo match, with both competitors already in the ring and having been introduced. By 1991, it was clear Snuka was not the star he had been in the early '80s, and as such he was chosen as the first WrestleMania opponent of The Undertaker. The Streak began with 'The Phenom' making quick work of 'Superfly', and seemingly ending his in-ring WrestleMania career with a Tombstone.
Snuka would make occasional in-ring appearances at Royal Rumbles and the 1996 Survivor Series, but it would take a full eighteen years before he again wrestled at a WrestleMania. He would team up with Ricky Steamboat and old nemesis Roddy Piper to face Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 25, at the ripe old age of sixty-five. He certainly looked every one of those years, unlike one of his partners that night...
