10 Longest Gaps Ever Between WWE WrestleMania Matches
8. 9 Years - Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan
No such anonymity issues for the two men who went nine years without competing at WrestleMania.
The first nine years of WrestleMania could just as well have been called HulkaMania, as seven of the nine ended with Hulk on top. The two main events he didn't win saw him lose by a whisker to The Ultimate Warrior at WM VI and help Randy Savage win the WWF Championship at WM IV. Saying that Hulk Hogan dominated WrestleMania's early years is a gross understatement.
After his controversial win over Yokozuna at WrestleMania IX, Hogan headed to WCW, and he didn't return to the grandest stage of them all until his iconic showdown with The Rock at WrestleMania X8. Hulk also competed at WrestleMania XIX, meaning that if he miraculously returns to 'Mania competition next year, he'll find himself somewhat higher on this list.
Brock Lesnar won the main event of the final WrestleMania Hogan competed at, and after his WrestleMania XX loss to Goldberg one year later, he left WWE entirely. It was eight years before he returned, attacking John Cena the night after WrestleMania XXVIII. Lesnar's first WrestleMania match after what was eventually nine years saw him inexplicably lose to Triple H.
