A little over a year ago, most wrestling fans could have been forgiven for thinking Shane McMahon was never going to return. It was barely spoken about, and even if he was to return, it was even less likely that he would do so in a competitive function.

This made it all the more shocking when Shane was booked to do battle against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, some 15 years after Shane defeated his father at WrestleMania X-Seven. Shane-O Mac was actually undefeated at 'Mania going into his battle with 'Taker, but one huge fall, and a Tombstone later, that record was ended.

Here's one for the maths fans out there - if you add the number of Shane's first two WrestleManias together (15 and 17), you get the number of his third (32). Shane fans haven't had to wait anywhere near as long this time, however, as in just over a week Shane will compete at consecutive WrestleManias for the first time in his career.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
