5. Ric Flair - 171 Days
Now this one really surprised me. When you picture the big gold belt, the man most would see holding it would be the Nature Boy himself, Ric Flair. When he made the jump to the WWF in 1991, he brought the big gold belt with him. This was the first time I had personally ever seen the strap, and Flair holding it will forever be etched in my memory as the image of it. Flair's longest reign with the belt was his first, lasting 171 days. He never lost the title, being stripped of it when he made the aforementioned jump. He would have eight runs in total as WCW Champion, but none were as long as his first. His second reign was also 100 days plus but doesn't quite crack this countdown. Flair's final title reign in WCW would also be his shortest, lasting less than a night. Kevin Nash would give him the title back on an episode of Nitro, only for Flair to lose it later in the night to Jeff Jarrett of all people. Because WCW.
