10 Longest WCW World Title Reigns Ever

1. Hulk Hogan (469 Days)

The longest WCW World Heavyweight Championship reign of all time belongs to Hulk Hogan. I'll take a moment for the shock to sink in... From the moment it was announced that Hogan had signed with the company, it was obvious that he would reign as the Heavyweight Champion of the world. After all, he had proven himself a glutton for title reigns throughout his storied career, most notably in 1993 when he returned to WWE and manipulated his way to the gold, despite Vince McMahon trying desperately to build Bret Hart into the face of the company in what was supposed to be a post-Hogan era. So when Hogan defeated Ric Flair to capture the WCW Title at the 1994 Bash at the Beach, it came as a shock to precisely no one. What was a surprise was the length of the reign that ensued, stretching well over a year and through the gigantic clusterf*** that was The Dungeon of Doom, it was an announcement to the good ol' boys down south that WCW was now a national force in the sports entertainment industry and Hogan was its face. He would hold the title until a controversial finish with The Giant at Halloween Havoc in 1995 brought his fifteen month reign crashing down. And it hurt inside.
