10 Longest Women's Championship Reigns In WWE History

1. The Fabulous Moolah

Championship Held €“ Women€™sLength of Longest Reign €“ 10,170 Days/3,651 Days In 1st place on the list is arguably the greatest women€™s competitor in the history of the WWE, The Fabulous Moolah. However, there is some serious debate regarding a number of her title reigns within the WWE. Moolah was the first ever Women€™s Champion, winning the title all the way back in September 1956, after defeating Judy Grable in a tournament to become the NWA World Women€™s Champion, the title which would eventually become the WWE Women€™s Championship. This title rebranding didn€™t happen until 1984 though, and so WWE have officially disregarded any title changes which happened between Moolah first winning the belt and it officially becoming the WWE Woman€™s Championship. As such, WWE regard Moolah€™s original reign as lasting an astronomical 10,170 days. In reality, Moolah actually lost and regained her title on 5 different occasions prior to its rebranding, with her longest reign coming in her initial run with the belt and lasting for 3,651 days, a total which would still keep her top of the list by quite some margin. Moolah€™s initial 7 title reigns (3 if you go by WWE€™s figures) spanned over an impressive 30 year period, with her 7th reign coming in July, 1986, when she defeated Velvet McIntyre, before going on to hold the title for another 380 days. And as if Moolah€™s career wasn€™t impressive enough, at the age of 76 she made her return to WWE television right in the middle of the Attitude Era, going on to win the title for an 8th (4th) time, by defeating Ivory at No Mercy in October 1999, becoming the oldest ever WWE champion in history. Moolah was deservedly inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 1995, which also meant that her title win in 1999 made her the first ever competitor in WWE history to win a title after being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
