10 Longest WWE Cruiserweight Championship Reigns Ever

8. Rey Mysterio Jr - 115 Days

Shane Helms Cruiserweight Champion

For a long time, Rey Mysterio was the cruiserweight division. No man can top his eight reigns, and 2003 and 2004 saw 'Rey chases the heel champion' become the only real story in the division.

Rey had three runs that lasted over 100 days, but none of these lasted more than 115 days. His fifth total reign would prove the longest, and it started by defeating Psychosis in April of 1999, coming to an end nearly four months later with defeat to Lenny Lane.

Lane would actually be stripped of the title, due to Turner Broadcasting's issues with his homosexual gimmick.

Eight reigns is a lot, but at the same time it is a little surprising that the number isn't higher. The perils of being the top babyface in the most babyface of divisions.
