One year later after Douglas' ineffectual marathon, I.R.S snuck past his record by staying in the Rumble match for 27 minutes and one second without causing a single elimination. Despite that fact, this is actually quite an impressive Rumble performance from the man who would eventually father Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas.

One of the most frustrating aspects of the Royal Rumble match from a fan's point of view are the almost constant brain farts from the competitors involved. Every few minutes a wrestler will be dangling over the top rope in a precarious position, only to be saved by another coming to beat on the man causing the peril. In the 1992 Royal Rumble I.R.S clearly avoids doing this, and for that he should be applauded.

In fact, Schyster spends most of the Rumble avoiding conflict altogether, teaming up with the heels now and then but mostly dodging the others in the ring. After 27 minutes his Rumble comes to an end at the hands of Roddy Piper, who drags the taxman over the top rope using Irwin's tie.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
