8. Is Daniel Bryan The WWE Word Heavyweight Champion? Or Is He Not?
The past four weeks of WWE television have sucked if you happen to be a fan of following say, the World Heavyweight Champion (and "face of the company"). Basically, since announcing that he needed neck surgery on May 12th, Stephanie McMahon has had to act as though she was the most ineffectual manager in the history of corporate America. If a ruthless executive, stripping Daniel Bryan of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship should be as easy as say, firing Brad Maddox or firing up Kane to be the "devil's favorite demon" again. But, in WWE having absolutely no idea about the severity of Bryan's injury to a very fragile part of the body of a pro wrestler, they were instead forced to end up in a holding pattern. Thus, the championship storyline didn't screw Bryan as much as it screwed nearly everyone around him. Bryan is hurt. Stephanie has been chopped at her theroetical knees as a character, and Kane, well, he's just an angry guy in a mask who can't successfully win a fight against two people who together weigh as much as he does (when a car is involved).
