The only good thing about Moondog Spot vs. Junkyard Dog at The Wrestling Classic is the match's length. The bout lasted just 45 merciful seconds, but the layout is so confusing that the contest probably deserves its negative rating.

The match started, and Spot caught JYD off-guard as he was climbing through the ropes. He took his opponent down after a series of punches, hit a knee drop, then missed a second rope splash. Dog recovered, hitting Spot with three of the weakest headbutts you'll ever see, but there was no referee to make the count. JYD was in no mood to wait, however: he counted the three himself, and for some reason, the ringside judge decided this was okay.

That's the match in its entirety. There's nothing more to it, and JYD eventually advanced to the Wrestling Classic tournament final, where he defeated Randy Savage by countout. On a largely subpar night of action, his match with Spot remains the most confusing.

The only plausible explanation is that WWE were short of time and had to rush, but the referee-less finish still doesn't make any sense.
