He's back!

Reports coming in indicate that Triple H wasn't really calling the shots backstage at Raw on Monday night. Instead, Vince McMahon (fresh off claims he wouldn't get "in the weeds" creatively) was responsible for frantic, last-minute script rewrites and numerous on-air changes.

That sort of thing would become the norm again under Vince. In fact, it could get worse, because he'll be keen to reassert his authority over WWE and please the new paymasters. Aiming to satisfy them is one thing, but McMahon must remember that he has a vast audience to serve too, and most of them were content with the way things had been heading under his son-in-law.

Creatively, WWE is set to return to pre-July 2022 levels. That's absolutely not a positive, especially when one realises how unhappy most fans were with interminable episodes of Raw and so many stop/start storylines that often seemed to go nowhere.

McMahon-mania is about to run wild.
