The animosity between Triple H and Y2J has always been clear; however, whilst Jericho currently has a nice little arrangement with the WWE, which allows him to return for a couple of months, get a nice little pop and then go back to his music, he would be stupid to put the Executive Vice President on blast publically. However, he has still made subtle digs towards his in ring rival. Last year on MLW radio, Jericho confirmed the pair had backstage heat, Y2J stated In the early 90s its no secret there was no love lost between he and I. We didnt like each other, we didnt get along. We had great matches, but there was always personal issues. Various rumours have surfaced as to why the pair could never see eye to eye, sources have suggested that Triple H was furious at Jericho for carelessly injuring his ex-girlfriend Chyna. Whilst other stories suggest that Hunter did not like the fact that Jericho was getting over when he was not. However, until either man speaks about their issues to a more in-depth level, its hard to see the root of the problem ever being confirmed. Recently, the WWE were working on getting Daniel Bryan over and Triple H targeted Jericho as well as other former WWE main event rivals, in order to make the point to Bryan, that no matter how popular he becomes, he will never be of a good enough calibre to lead the company. The Game told Bryan Guys like Jericho, Edge, Rob Van Dam. All guys that are very talented, don't get me wrong. Top guys! Very popular! But not "the one". Never were they "the one". And maybe nobody wants to say this, but it needs to be said: It's a fact. If any of those guys had been the face of the WWE back in the day, we'd all be working for Ted Turner right now. Ouch. Jericho was furious by Triple Hs comments and immediately took to twitter and shared his thoughts on the unnecessary attack, stating the thing is @tripleh despite your major push, you never were either.
