10 Marriages WWE Acknowledged And Turned Into Storylines

2. €œMacho Man€ Randy Savage And Miss Elizabeth

Of course, one of the most famous husband-wife pairings in WWE history has to be the Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth. Savage debuted in WWE in 1985 as the hottest free agent at the time. Instead of signing with top-flight managers like Bobby €œThe Brain€ Heenan, Jimmy Hart or €œClassy€ Freddie Blassie, Macho chose to align himself with unknown Miss Elizabeth. Thus began a longstanding and tumultuous onscreen relationship that would carry through an Intercontinental Championship run, a world title run and the Mega Powers alliance. But while it€™s true they were a married couple during their entire WWE run together, their union was only acknowledged on television for less than a year. (They were €œmarried€ at SummerSlam 1991, and Elizabeth left WWE shortly after WrestleMania VIII the following year.) During that time, however, they held their very public wedding, which also spawned a feud with Jake €œThe Snake€ Roberts, and they combated Ric Flair and his infamous, €œShe was mine before she was yours€ taunt about Elizabeth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u12xNjibUpc Despite only being an onscreen married couple for about eight months, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth€™s years-long association and the impact that both had on the profession cannot be measured in length of time. Sadly, both performers met untimely ends, but they still are remembered fondly by fans today.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
