10 Match Quality Predictions For AEW All Out
5. Best Friends Vs. The Dark Order
This should be the opener.
The Dark Order are an excellent tag team who have struggled to transition from a copyright-triggering video game Indy act to an anachronistic supernatural bit that resonates as something even more phoney, under AEW's sports-oriented presentation. The Best Friends meanwhile were overshadowed in their babyface role at Fyter Fest, at which Private Party got themselves over as the cooler, more exciting and ultimately more popular act. If the match is placed in the midcard, the audience might take it as a signal to simmer down ahead of the boiling point that is the stacked upper card.
Should the match be given time to get over, it will.
Stu Grayson in particular is great - rapid in movement and crisp in execution, there's an explosive element to his work that lends it real credibility. This serves the dynamic he shares with agile hoss Player Uno very well. The blistering exchanges between Grayson and Beretta should tear the house down, where Chuck Taylor is so endearing that Player Uno's heat spot shouldn't slow things down too much as to betray the point.
It's a significant night for the Dark Order, and as such, they require a significant spotlight.
Projected Star Rating: ***3/4
