10 Match Star Ratings For WWE Super ShowDown 2020

3. Roman Reigns Vs. King Corbin - Steel Cage Match

My God, what a waste of bastard time.

This feud is death. We know who was going to win this match because Roman Reigns already won the feud, and "Hey maybe they'll 50/50 this lol" isn't a source of interest, unless you're a nihilist.

Perhaps that was the entire purpose of this show. Perhaps WWE wants its audience to hate-watch the product.

This was a match you so desperately wanted Roman Reigns to win without actively caring at all, knowing full well that they could run back yet another rematch with no purpose nor shame.

Corbin, the tall, powerful heel who invariably grinds down his opponents with mind-numbing heat spots, and takes roughly 80% of every televised match, of course decided to climb the cage within seconds in the one match where, theoretically, he could have worn Reigns down with his chinlock and sprinted out of the door, under WWE's dumbass cage match rules, in less than the three seconds it would take to pin him.

This wasn't violent. It wasn't creative. It wasn't dynamic. It wasn't compelling.

It was slow. It was dull. It was pointless.
