Reports have emerged over recent days claiming that Neville is "locked" in "showdown" talks with WWE bosses, who are keen to bring their man back on board to help breathe life into their show on the eve of WrestleMania.

Before you go getting excited, though, it's worth bearing in mind that these same reports have been appearing for the better part of six months. Scarcely has a day gone by since his September walk-out, in fact, that there hasn't been a story about his imminent return.

It didn't happen then, so there's really no reason to believe it will happen now. We can only guess what's going through the mind of The Man That Gravity Forgot, but all signs indicate that he's ready to fly the nest (and he can seriously fly).

As such, it's unlikely that he will be brought back in time for The Show of Shows, and unlikelier still that, should he brought back, he will have enough episodes of Raw or SmackDown to build up anything meaningful between then and kick-off time.
