10 Matches That Must Happen At WWE Money In The Bank 2020

4. WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship - Bayley Vs. Naomi

The prevailing school of thought was that this match was going to take place at WrestleMania 36 before plans changed and a throwaway multi-woman match happened instead. The SmackDown Women’s Championship feels like the least important of the three female titles right now, but there are plenty of cogs in place to change that over the coming months.

The most important of those cogs is the current champion. Bayley has held the blue and white title since October 11, the longest reign in the short history of the championship. Bayley’s first SD title came at last year’s Money in the Bank, and the symmetry of potentially losing the belt this year is an easily told story. Bayley is a curious character, a performer defined as much by neurosis as she is confidence, and the paranoia that comes with this time of year could do wonders for her character.

And then there is Naomi. One of the most gifted performers on the SmackDown women's roster, Naomi also happens to have an entrance that still manages to work in this extremely compromised time. Recently returned from injury, she deserves a place on the top table.

The spanner in all of this is Sasha Banks, who may or may not be hovering around with the briefcase by this point. The SmackDown women’s division might be about to get very interesting indeed.
