10 Memorable WWE Moments From Sunday Night Heat

8. Ric Flair Vs. Val Venis

When the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair styled and profiled down the ramp on Sunday Night Heat, the look on Val Venis’ face said it all. It was a rare occasion for wrestling royalty to make an appearance on the show and Flair's arrival made for a truly special moment.

The match itself was also a pretty historic occasion for Venis as the match marked the only time "The Big Valbowski" would square off with "The Nature Boy" in singles competition. Besides Battle Royals, the two men had never shared a ring before and never would again, which made the match all the more momentous for the man, Sean Morley.

His sole appearance on the Raw brand's B-show, Flair gave the crowd classic "Naitch" in every way: from the chain wrestling of his Steamboat encounters to the blistering chops of his rivalry with Sting. What's even better is that Flair and Venis were given a decent amount of time to perform too, with around ten minutes allotted to the segment.

Strutting his way to victory, Flair would eventually come out on top, gaining a rare submission with the Figure Four. An often-overlooked part of Heat history, the sight of the legendary, 16-time World Heavyweight Champion walking the aisle of Sunday Night Heat is definitely a highlight.
