10 Memorable WWE Moments From Sunday Night Heat
7. Edge & Christian Vs. APA Vs. The Dudleys
As far as tag team matches on Sunday Night Heat go, they don't come much bigger than this.
The Triple Threat bout between E&C, the APA and the Dudley Boyz was a colossal bout from a talent standpoint. To give an idea of how colossal, five of the six men in the bout would go on to become a World Heavyweight Champion, two are current WWE Hall of Famers and the rest are easily deserving of that honour as well.
The bout serves as a snapshot of just how good the tag division was in late 90s WWF and it says a lot that none of the teams involved were WWF Tag Team Champions at the time. That honour went to The New Age Outlaws, while other challengers at the time including the likes of the Hardys, the Hollys and the Rock 'N' Sock Connection.
While the match itself is fairly standard as far as match length and quality, the sheer level of star power involved demands inclusion. Hindsight also points to this bout as a forerunner to the three-way tag classics over the 18 months that followed and may have helped sow the seeds for the legendary encounters between E&C, the Dudleys and the Hardys.
