Having a catchphrase seems to be one of the simplest and most fundamental aspects of being a WWE superstar. It gives the fans something to remember them by, as well as the chance to chant it back at them while they perform, creating a relationship that's hard to break. A good catchphrase also means that viewers will listen more intently to promos, as they hang on for the moment their favourite star says the one sentence or word that they say every time. It can also mean that promos revolve around that catchphrase, meaning they become a lot easier to both write and perform. For some reason, none of the divas have really troubled themselves with coming up with a catchphrase. The only exception that comes to mind is Trish Stratus' 'Stratusfaction', but it could be argued that that's more of a slogan than a catchphrase; and it definitely never got chanted whenever she stepped in the ring. AJ Lee and Brie Bella also had some success with 'Yes', but that was entirely borrowed from Daniel Bryan. Given that a catchphrase is a simple and effective way to appeal to fans, as well as the potential merchandising opportunities, the Divas might be missing a trick.
