Divas matches on the whole are short, uneventful, and frankly, are more often than not there to fill time. There's a reason they're regarded as the p*ss-break matches. They usually only last a few minutes, not allowing much time for storytelling, drama or the build up of tension. That's speaking generally of course. There have been plenty of entertaining, well performed and well executed matches between two women. But never once have they received a Match of the Year Slammy Nomination. Now the Slammy's are never going to bother the Oscars for the title of the most serious of award shows, but they still have a degree of gravitas within the confines of the wrestling world. Nominating a Divas match in the Match of the Year category would be a great way to recognise the division and make it seem more legitimate. All the Divas have to do is make a match worthy of nominating.
