10 Missed Opportunities In Brock Lesnar’s WWE Career
7. No Major Matches Against Batista Or Randy Orton
There were four wrestlers that WWE signed around the same time in the early 2000s that would become huge stars and incredibly important with regards to the future of the company: Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton, all of whom trained together at WWE developmental territory OVW. Lesnar has wrestled Cena many times, but for whatever reason, he hasn't had a high profile match with Batista or Randy Orton. There were some matches between them in Ohio Valley Wrestling, but on the main WWE roster the only Lesnar/Orton match was a one-sided affair way back at a Smackdown taping in September 2002. A big reason why they haven't had a proper feud is Lesnar's WWE absence from 2004 to 2012. Those were the years where Orton and Batista dominated WWE programming as main event performers. If Lesnar was still in the company, he likely would have had dozens of matches with both guys. Perhaps Lesnar could face Orton or Batista in the future at some point since Orton will be around for many more years as long as he can stay healthy. Even though Batista isn't in WWE right now, his status as a bonafide movie star makes him coming back a real possibility.
