10 Missed Opportunities In Brock Lesnar’s WWE Career
6. Losing To Triple H At WrestleMania XXIX
Lesnar's second match back in WWE in 2012 was against Triple H, who was a part-timer and a babyface at that point in his career. They did a storyline where Lesnar "broke" Triple H's arm to setup their SummerSlam match, which Lesnar won when he "broke" Hunter's arm again. That probably should have ended the feud, yet it was revived in order to set up a match at WrestleMania XXIV seven months later. In what was Lesnar's first WrestleMania match in nine long years, you would think that he would win the match and make a statement that he was back as the most dominant force in the company. Instead of that important win, he lost clean to part-time wrestler Triple H, who didn't need that win (or any win for that matter). Why would WWE pay a reported $5 million annually to Lesnar to have him put over a part-time wrestler like Triple H at the biggest show of the year? Because the company's priorities are messed up, that's why. Even though Lesnar beat Triple H in the rematch at Extreme Rules 2013 to "win" the feud, most people remember WrestleManias much better than Extreme Rules and that loss to Triple H is a major example example of poor WWE booking. Lesnar should have started his second run in WWE with a 3-0 record in his first three matches. Instead, he was 1-2.
