10 Mistakes WWE Better Not Make Before WrestleMania 34

4. Expecting Shinsuke Nakamura To Sell 'Mania Verbally

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles will be a killer pro wrestling match on 8 April. It's important to applaud WWE for re-booking a match that tore the house down at Wrestle Kingdom 10, because it was never a certainty we'd see that under the McMahon umbrella. The only difference is that this isn't New Japan.

In that company, promos are less important (with notable exceptions, like Alpha vs. Omega) to selling major matches than they are in WWE. In-ring work very much tells the story come bell time. WWE works differently, and it's hard to envision the promotion relying on wrestling without any verbal showdowns between Nakamura and AJ.

The problem with this is that Shinsuke's English is limited. He can't have those duelling promos WWE expect from matches at 'Mania that are receiving top billing. Unless the writers are willing to try something new with them, we're going to see a ton of awkward/forced Nakamura interviews over the next few weeks.

That doesn't suit him and it won't help anybody.
