10 Mistakes WWE Made With WrestleMania 33
9. AJ Styles Could Have Done More
Over the course of the past year, nobody in WWE has performed the way that AJ Styles has. He's had classic match after classic match, carried the WWE Championship, and shut up everyone who ever said he couldn't get it done in the big leagues. Without a doubt, he's WWE's MVP.
Why, then, were his talents all but wasted in a match with a non-wrestler? Though Styles's bout with Shane McMahon worked out about as well as it could have - there's an argument to be made that it was the match of the show - just imagine what 'The Phenomenal One' could have done against an actual wrestler. Styles versus John Cena, Samoa Joe, or Shinsuke Nakamura would have been utterly incredible.
It becomes even more frustrating when you consider that WrestleMania didn't have that classic bout - it was a good show from start to finish, but there was no single match that was as good as any of AJ's show-stealing performances over the past year. The right match would have pushed WrestleMania 33 from "good" to "fantastic", and AJ more than anyone should have been included.
