10 Mistakes WWE Made With WrestleMania 33

7. No Joe

Howard Finkel wasn't the only person conspicuous by his absence at WrestleMania. Recent NXT call-up and potential superstar Samoa Joe was also nowhere to be seen. When he came to the main roster in January, more than a decade's worth of hypothetical questions stood to be answered, but WrestleMania saw none of them settled.

Joe could have been involved in the battle royal, although the fact that he wouldn't have won means that participating in the match wouldn't have done anything for him. It had been expected that he'd interfere in the Triple H versus Seth Rollins match, helping his benefactor and possibly kicking off a post-'Mania feud with 'The Architect'. Instead, WWE's decision-makers chose to keep him off-camera for the duration of the event.

Given that, at one point, the plan was for Joe to take on John Cena in what would have undoubtedly been an incredible contest, it's hard not to feel badly for the former NXT Champion.
