10 Mistakes WWE Made With WrestleMania 33

4. It Was Seven Hours Long

Last year, WWE put on what was - at the time - the longest WrestleMania ever. The show was six-and-a-half hours long, and most of the good stuff happened early. By the end, the live crowd was restless, and sitting through a terrible main event made them annoyed. The same thing happened to those fans who watched on TV, and as a result, people came away calling it the worst 'Mania of all time.

This year, the show was worlds better and was paced in a smarter manner, but it was even longer - from the time the pre-show started to the time The Undertaker lowered into the stage, more than seven hours had passed. While the fans certainly weren't angry and didn't feel ripped off like last year, they were surely exhausted. It was easy to feel the crowd fading as the show progressed.

The problem isn't even so much the matches - it's all the videos, the entrances, the concerts, and the sizzle, not the steak. If WWE was able to keep the whole thing to four hours total, it might require cutting a few bouts, but the crowd would stay hot throughout and WrestleMania wouldn't feel like a chore even when it's good.
