10 Misused WWE Wrestlers Who Got Released And STILL Struggled
6. Gene Snitsky
It wasn't his fault! Except that it was.
While Gene Snitsky was never anything more than a generic powerhouse monster, he at least played his role well. But sadly, the massive performer could never escape the awful stench left behind by his angle with Lita, in which he caused the legendary star to suffer a miscarriage. To this day, it's still hard to believe that storyline actually happened.
After Snitsky departed from WWE, his attention was drawn elsewhere. He operated on the indie circuit to some moderate success but in small-time promotions, such as World Xtreme Wrestling and Right Coast Pro Wrestling. He eventually made his way to TNA in 2014, where he seemed set to reach his full potential, but this didn't come to light.
TNA was a barren wasteland for Snitsky. He entered into a tag team with Rycklon - formerly known as Ezekiel Jackson - and aligned with Dixie Carter, only to depart from the promotion before even breaking two months spent there. Snitsky claimed that this resulted from low pay and that he chose to leave because he felt he was worth more.
Eventually, in 2018, the big man would retire from professional wrestling, so it is safe to say that things won't improve in the ring for this WWE castoff.
