10 Misused WWE Wrestlers Who Got Released And STILL Struggled

7. Paul London

There is a common view in wrestling that after a tag team disbands, one experiences massive success and the other fades into obscurity. You'll often hear this unsuccessful performer referred to as the team's Marty Jannetty, and after the break-up of Paul London and Brian Kendrick, it was the former who took that infamous title. Kendrick may not have become Shawn Michaels, but London certainly became another Jannetty.

This high-flyer's career wasn't just affected by an unfortunate tag split, as things would never be the same for him after he infamously smiled at Vince McMahon during the peculiar limousine explosion angle, where the company chairman was killed off on-screen. It seemed that Mr McMahon didn't appreciate this reaction, and as a result, London was forced to become a jobber up until his release.

He - like Ryback - burned every bridge on the way out, as he has been stoutly critical of the company, but it seems that his talents have not been put to fair use anywhere else. A somewhat decent - but far too goofy - stint in Lucha Underground saw the performer make it back to a slightly major promotion after a long stint on the indies, but it ended up being all too brief.

Despite working backstage at Impact and still popping up in a promotion or two, Paul London has failed to make a splash outside of WWE.
