10 MMA Maneuvers Wrestlers Should Use More Often

6. Fish Hooking

For this next entry, we're not talking about a move so much as a cheap shot, and a savage one at that.

Fish Hooking is the act of taking your fingers and inserting them into either the mouth or nostrils of your opponent. With one finger on each side, you pull your targets in opposite directions, causing unbearable agony.

While Fish Hooking is illegal in most forms of fighting, it is practiced as a self-defense maneuver in martial arts, such as Krav Maga. It was also once allowed as a submission in catch wrestling, an older variation of grappling.

One of the closest things to Fish Hooking in current-day professional wrestling is the time-tested eye-gouge. Another is the Mandible Claw, which shares similar qualities. The main difference is that 'The Fiend' uses his fingers to dislodge his victims' jaws and cause a searing pain.

Since 'The Fiend' is already utilizing the Mandible Claw, as well as the neck-snapping thing (which no one is quite sure how to sell), a good ole Fish Hook would make an excellent addition to his dastardly move set. Plus, it would fit the overall character of Bray Wyatt, who brawls and dissects his opponents rather than engage in a technical bout.
