10 MMA Submissions That Are Almost Impossible To Escape From

4. Stack Neck Crank

I've got to be completely honest with you - this move seriously sucks.

And by 'sucks' I mean it bloody wrecks.

After taking part in our rear-naked choke/arm tear-away exchange once again, you want to prop that ripped away arm up like a kick-stand on the mat - like we did for the neck crank.

Then, when your knees are situated behind your rival, plant both your hands in the space just in front of their shoulders. This will lock their upper body in place and leave them open for a stack neck crank.

By slowly dropping your entire body down onto your opponent, their spine will start to compress and very quickly they will sense that enough is enough.

Of course, as with all of these moves, you must be extremely cautious when performing this submission. As, if you slam your body weight down too quickly and don't give your rival enough time to tap, there's a very real risk of serious injury.

You obviously want them to feel the move, but they still need to be given the chance to tap and live to fight another day.

Escape is pretty darn near impossible as soon as your body weight starts to come down on the unfortunate fighter below you and it is highly advised to wave your white flag once those two arms are firmly planted in the ground.
