10 Modern WWE Hell In A Cell Matches That Didn't Feel PG

5. Sasha Banks Vs. Becky Lynch (2019)

Sasha Banks Becky Lynch
WWE

Sasha Banks will do anything to her body to get a match over. Despite all the clear differences between the two, she is the closest thing that we have to a modern Mick Foley in terms of attitude. There is no danger she won’t risk if it’ll lead to a memorable spot, no bump she won’t take to get over a narrative. She is a renegade, a tough as nails wrestler able to create masterpieces of chaotic wrestling while telling an emotional, compelling story.

Her feud with Becky Lynch wasn’t perfect leading into the Cell. They had an excellent Clash of Champions match before a humiliating finishing sequence, and Sasha constantly seemed to be booked as lesser to her opponent. None of that came across in the match itself, where two of the Four Horsewomen put it all on the line to deliver an exceptional performance. It was a frenzied and extremely entertaining brawl, containing some of the best Meteoras in history and showcasing how far women’s wrestling in WWE has come.

It had the daredevil spectacle of a classic TV-14 Cell contest and the intricate wrestling from two modern geniuses to help it stand out even further.
