The first Cell match of the PG era, Edge and Undertaker’s sensational war still felt like a classic Ruthless Aggression main event. The conclusion to the best SmackDown feud of 2008, Edge and Undertaker put their bodies on the line with reckless disregard on the road to creating a classic.

While their WrestleMania main event was fantastic, the two men just clicked even harder in stipulation matches, with their TLC match at One Night Stand being an all time classic of chaotic bumps. The narrative involving Edge and Vickie Guerrero’s manipulation of their power to sabotage The Undertaker was so compelling, with the banning of the Hell’s Gate and Edge’s dastardly interference tactics making fans clamour to see him get demolished.

They somehow topped all their previous encounters with their Hell in a Cell contest, where the two did the wackiest things they could to brutalise each other. Table bumps, bursting through the side of the cage and the famous chokeslam to hell helped cement the match as the final one of its era, the culmination of SmackDown as the home of wacky bloody masterpiece feuds. It didn’t feel PG at all just yet.
