10 Moments That Caused Huge Rifts Between Wrestlers

4. Edge Cuckolds Matt Hardy

That will do it.

Edge had it off with Lita when her fella, Matt Hardy, was recuperating from injury away from the road. When the news broke, Hardy had a fairly understandable meltdown by revealing the truth online, even if essentially changing his status on MSN Messenger to emo lyrics wasn't the most productive way to go around it. His stance has softened since, and he worked with Edge very soon after, but porridge-stirring is a no-no worthy of a long grudge.

It's quite a sad and sobering allegory for life in general, that poisoned love triangle.

The villain got over.

The woman got stigmatised as a slut for doing the exact same thing.

The victim got annihilated in a gruesome squash match as what could only be punishment for baring his soul.

Hardy claimed years later that it was meant to emulate the sudden and dangerous twist in a UFC fight - a tone sought to capture the worked shoot element of their adapted feud - but it's curious that it's the only part the wrestling fan really remembers.

The Chads always win, guys. Continue to whine about this because it's really funny when your tears are captured on Reddit.
