10 Moments That Literally Stopped AEW Wrestling Matches
8. Hangman Gets Hung Out
The October 18th 2022 edition of Dynamite saw a collision between two of AEW's biggest stars, both figuratively and literally.
"Hangman" Adam Page was taking on AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for not only the belt, but for the hearts and minds of the company faithful. Unfortunately, fans never got to see who the better man was that night.
During a relatively routine King Kong lariat spot, Hangman took a nasty landing and collapsed unresponsive on the mat. The bout was immediately halted and eventually called off all together when it was established that Page was badly hurt.
Page then took over a month off TV after it was learned that he had sustained a nasty concussion. He returned on the November 30th edition of Dynamite to confront Moxley about the injury.
Though it was worked into a storyline, it's important to remember that this incident was nobody's fault. Great wrestlers make it look easy, but even the simplest of moves can cause serious damage if something goes wrong.
Thankfully Hagman seems to be ok, but, for a time, things got a little worrying for our favourite anxious millennial cowboy.
