10 Moments That Will Shape Wrestling During The Next Decade
9. The Revival Signs With AEW
The Revival will not be AEW's biggest free agent signing of the decade. In fact, should AEW land Tessa Blanchard when her Impact Wrestling contract runs out this summer, they wouldn't be AEW's biggest signing of the year. What The Revival will be, however, is the signing that makes the most number of WWE fans tune into AEW Dynamite.
Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson's contracts are up in April 2020 and, while Dash Wilder has ten more weeks on his contract for time injured, the tag team will become free agents this summer.
Re-signing with WWE seems unlikely; The Revival have given every indication that they are fed up with WWE and the fans have noticed. Between stories about requesting their releases while still in their ring attire, to wearing wrestling gear, on live tapings, with "#FTR" emblazoned on the backside, a transition to AEW seems to be on the horizon. Dash Wilder and Matt Jackson have even exchanged tweets promising a future match, for goodness' sake.
The Revival vs. The Young Bucks would be a pay-per-view headlining match. Between the YouTube series Being The Elite and their Twitter wars, this clash has been building for years. This will be the match that not only gets the attention of the WWE Universe, but will also demonstrate just how badly WWE mishandled one of the best tag teams on the planet.
