Entirely changing the game for every woman who followed them into the WWE landscape in particular, it's not too difficult to understand why Trish Stratus and Lita share a pretty unbreakable bond.

And this unshakeable friendship was perhaps most notably tested in front of a Sports Entertainment camera back in April 2005, with the WWE Hall of Famers experiencing one of the most toxic reactions of the decade in the middle of a Monday Night Raw squared-circle.

With much of the WWE audience blaming Lita for the departure of her ex, Matt Hardy, calls of "We Want Matt!" and "You Screwed Matt!" were fired at the then-babyface star as she hobbled into Madison Square Garden on crutches. But the line was clearly crossed and then some the moment the New York crowd hurled chants of "Slut!" at the all-out legend, with Stratus quickly pulling away from her scripted promo to blast the fans.

The then-heel Women's Champion told those in attendance, "don't call her a slut. You guys are idiots, you don't know what you're talking about!", very much doing everything in her power to protect her buddy from the unwarranted amount of abuse being sent her way on the night.

Stratus and Lita should've never had to have contend with such disgusting outbursts, mind, but the way the former managed the waves of repulsive chanting like a pro only further cemented her status as an all-timer.
