10 More Controversial Times Wrestlers Went Off-Script
5. Vince McMahon Isn't Happy With The Revival's Terminology - WWE Raw, 2018
There's a reason some corners of the Inter-web were quick to lose their damn minds the minute Triple H recently appeared to once again unleash the term "pro wrestling" back into the Sports Entertainment landscape.
For the longest time it felt as though even the slightest mention of those two taboo words on main roster programming was enough to sentence a wrestler to weeks of being utterly slaughtered by whatever talent Vince McMahon was high on at the time.
Look no further than the time The Revival seemingly made a point of confirming to the world that they were anything but "Sports Entertainers" in a post-match promo on a January, 2018 edition of Raw, with the eventual All Elite twosome classing themselves as "Professional Wrestlers" a week before a fateful Raw 25th Anniversary special.
Not long after this bold claim, it was rumoured that the former WWE Chairman wasn't best pleased about Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler's terminology, with the latter adding more fuel to said speculation with a response of "already is" to a fan's tweet of "Oh you said a dirty word. Vince will be mad."
Sure enough, this instance of apparently going off-script was soon followed by an absolute burial at the hands of D-Generation X and The Club a week on. What a world.
