6. The Scottish Psychopath - Drew McIntyre

If you'd asked wrestling fans a few years ago if "Scottish Psychopath" was a good fit for Drew McIntyre, they'd likely have said nope, nein, non and いえ. Hell, McIntyre himself hated the nickname as it didn't make any sense with his character at the time (a truly regrettable run as Shane McMahon's whipping-boy).

Four years later, McIntyre finally has a character worthy of the nickname and it's resulted in the best storyline of his two-decade career.

McIntyre's slow-burn descent into madness has been a regular feature in the "Ups" sections of WhatCulture's weekly RAW reviews, and for good reason. The best heel turns are the one where the villain has a legitimate point, and watching Drew take revenge for every slight he's suffered in the past year is the best long-term story WWE have told since Sami Zayn's Bloodline saga.

Drew is the most fired up he's been since his losing the WWE Championship back in 2021, and his recent mic-melting promo against CM Punk was the best he's ever been on the mic. It may have taken four years for Drew to actually act like a "Scottish Psychopath", but the results have been more than worth the wait.
