7. Sting Sells Sprite

Adverts are usually sh*te as a general rule, and most wrestling-themed ads tend to shoehorn in naff references to wrestling.

This halcyon days WCW era ad however is a fantastic, blackly comedic subversion of the usual b*llocks spouted by some advertisers - "Our product gives you superhuman powers!"

Sting knocks on the door of a nice family home and reveals he has been sent from the 'Dream Come True Fantasy Contest'. He's there to wrestle the young lad!

The lad takes a sip of Sprite, because that's how these things go. He drinks the cool drink, and develops super strength. Only, he doesn't; he gets the living sh*t kicked out of him by the Stinger, and it's hilarious. It looks like Sting Vs. Darby Allin would look like if they ever feuded.

This all sets up the expectation-defying tagline: "Don't count on Sprite to do anything but quench your thirst".

One can imagine Triple H watching until the midway point and thinking "Cool, I'll drink a load of Sprite before WrestleMania 31, and then kick his ass" before seeing the twist and thinking "Bugger".

"I'll just use my creative influence and defensive disposition to job him out instead."
