10 More Superstars That Will Follow Dean Ambrose Out Of WWE

3. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder

The Deep South Wrestling survivors were reunited on the post-Royal Rumble Raw in a loss to fellow drain circlers The Revival that helped preserve Curt Hawkins' own comedy no-win streak, but it speaks to creative's consideration of both teams that this feud could somehow end in him getting his big W.

Dash and Dawson are somewhere between dead rubbers and damaged goods, so should the action figure fans eventually score victory it won't exactly propel them back to the dizzy heights of their days as Edge lackey-likes.

Outside of the ring, they've turned a beloved hobby into a craft in the form of the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, in sync with a YouTube show that delves even deeper into their fascination with being able to "scratch that itch" on the road as wrestlers. Extensive travel and steady wages feed this, of course, but Ryder especially knows how to harness real YouTube press for something even greater - a device The Elite and others have made good on while he's been left to fester on C-shows by a criminally neglectful WWE.

One last...ahem...major run may not be what they want. But there's perhaps never been a better time for both to leave their lives as peg-warmers for pastures new.
