10 More Wrestlers You'll NEVER Believe Shared The Same Ring

4. Brock Lesnar & Chris Kanyon

Who better than Kanyon? Certainly not Brock Lesnar, that's for sure.

It may be weird to imagine the Beast facing off with Chris Kanyon, period, but even more shocking is that Kanyon beat Lesnar with a clean 1-2-3 after nailing his signature Flatliner.

This match took place during the brief overlap that these two stars had in WWE. At that point, Brock was a young star on the rise, with him still in Ohio Valley Wrestling back then. For Kanyon, he was spinning his wheels after the Invasion storyline had fizzled out.

While it was clear that Lesnar was a can't-miss prospect, the Innovator of Offense was one of those main roster names trusted to help ease Brock into the big leagues by working with the hulking rookie in dark matches and at house shows.

Such bouts took place in and around October 2001, and the mentor-student relationship of Chris Kanyon and Brock Lesnar only came to an end after the Alliance MVP tore his anterior cruciate ligament against another major prospect: Randal Keith Orton.

Unfortunately, it appears that none of these Kanyon vs. Lesnar contests have been made available for public viewing.
