10 More Wrestlers You'll NEVER Believe Shared The Same Ring

3. Mick Foley & Andre The Giant

It's surprising to hear that Andre the Giant got to share the ring with Yokozuna back in 1992, yet it's maybe even more shocking to know that the legendary Frenchman got to battle Mick Foley in Japan a year prior.

On the Yoko topic, the pair were on opposing sides of a couple of six-man bouts during Andre's two-month stay in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Association in '92. Either side of this UWA run, the Giant competed for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Andre's final WWF match came at WrestleMania VI in 1990, where he turned babyface as he and Haku dropped the Tag Team Championships to Demolition. But away from Vince McMahon's promotion, Andre began to work for AJPW immediately after 'Mania VI, and would work on and off for All Japan for nearly two years.

Given how his body had long started to break down by that point in time, the Giant was only ever used in tag team bouts during his stints with AJPW - and one such live event tag match pitted him against a young Mick Foley.

Under his Cactus Jack gimmick, Foley teamed with the Texas Terminator to battle Andre and the Mighty Inoue. Selling all of the Giant's offense with jellied legs, Cactus eventually took the pin in this 1991 house show contest.
