2. An Eye For The Undertaker

KANE UNDERTAKER SYMBOL JUDGEMENT DAY

The Undertaker brummed his way back into action having swapped his iconic duster for denim at the close of Judgment Day 2000's epic 60-minute Iron Man match between The Rock and Triple H, though it had been heavily implied in advance that the soon-to-be Alive Man would rise again at the show.

In the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view, vignettes aired depicting three Burns-esque sisters creepily reciting nursery rhymes. Before Bray Wyatt and his merry men, occult infants spouting creepy gibberish in Mormon get-up could pretty much mean only one thing. Though not confirmed, going into Judgment Day, many were anticipating the return of The Undertaker.

For eagle-eyed fans, WWE left another little clue as to The Deadman's comeback secreted on the show's advertisement. Squint harder than Ethan Hawke emerging from a fallout shelter and you can just about spot a tiny little logo hidden in the pupil of Kane's eye - none other than 'Taker's proper goff symbol. VHS releases of Judgment Day didn't even attempt to mask the surprise, slapping Big Undie front and centre on the cover.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
